EMERGENCIES
Dr. Vapnek’s office is open from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, but he is available for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call 212-717-9500 during office hours or 212-451-9227 after hours and on weekends. The answering service should be able to have Dr. Vapnek respond to your call within 30 to 60 minutes. If you feel you have a life-threatening emergency, you should either call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room without delay.
On many days, the office can get quite busy, so routine phone calls may not be returned until after 5 PM, when Dr. Vapnek finishes seeing patients. For this reason, if you have a true emergency during office hours, you should call and let the office staff know that you need to speak to the doctor immediately. In most cases, it will possible to see the doctor that same day.
OTHER QUESTIONS/ISSUES
If your matter is not a true emergency, you may leave a message with the office staff, and Dr. Vapnek will usually return your call within 24 hours. If you desire, you may also contact Dr. Vapnek by email with routine questions.
